King’s Charles’s openness of his medical condition “has reassured the country” as the monarch returns home from hospital.
GB News spoke with members of the public in Windsor today who praised the King for opening up about his treatment for an enlarged prostate.
One royal enthusiast said that the King disclosing his condition helped “reassure the rest of that country that it isn’t something too serious.”
Before the King went to hospital, Buckingham Palace released a statement which detailed the King’s health condition.

The member of the public also commented on how the King’s statement raised "awareness of issues which [are] really useful for men’s health.”
His Majesty was keen to share his diagnosis with the public to encourage men to get checked for similar symptoms.
The announcement did raise public awareness and sparked a 1,000 per cent surge to a NHS website the day after the royal statement.
The NHS website’s prostate enlargement page received more than 11 times the number of visitors than the previous day.

Before Charles went into hospital, he shared his delight at the surge in health awareness across the UK.
A statement said: “The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment.
“His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”
Yesterday, both the King and the Princess of Wales were discharged from hospital and returned to their homes.

When asked about the Princess of Wales being back with her children, the public member being interviewed on the street exclaimed: “I think that’s fantastic news!
“I respect her wish for privacy as far as health matters are concerned. I think it’s someone’s right to choose.”
Kate did not choose to disclose her private medical information but only revealed that she had an abdominal surgery at The London Clinic.
King Charles is now set for a period of recuperation and has rescheduled upcoming public engagements to rest.
