The King and Queen visited Middlesbrough's International Centre on Thursday to meet with local community groups and police officers working to tackle knife crime in the town.
Their Majesties were welcomed by the North East Opera, who performed a multilingual song titled "Welcome".
Led by Bini Araia, founder of Investing in People, the royal couple met representatives from REPOD Doctors, an initiative supporting refugee medical practitioners transitioning into the NHS.
The visit included meetings with The Junction Foundation, Together Middlesbrough & Cleveland, and Cleveland Police officers demonstrating knife crime education workshops.

Before departing, the King and Queen met children engaged in Valentine's Day crafts and unveiled a commemorative plaque.
One of the cards said: "Welcome King Charles you are the best King ever! I love you so, so much. You are welcomed to Middlesbrough xxx. Love you, from Ruth."
Another wrote: "To Queen Camilla. I hope you enjoyed your time here. From Hiyab."
King Charles then visited the SeAH Winds XXXL offshore turbine base factory, the world's largest monopile manufacturing facility, during National Apprenticeship Week.

The factory, located at Teesside's Freeport, produces up to four monopiles weekly, each measuring 120 metres in length and weighing up to 4,500 tonnes.
His Majesty toured the production process, including gas cutting, edge milling, and welding operations.
The King met with equipment operators and construction apprentices from Middlesbrough College and Hartlepool College.
Before departing, Charles attended a reception with local businesses and unveiled a commemorative plaque.

During the day trip, Queen Camilla joined 750 schoolchildren at Middlesbrough Town Hall for a celebration of the National Literacy Trust's work, led by Children's Laureate Frank Cottrell-Boyce, where Camilla presented certificates to five star readers and later attended a reception at the Old Fire Station.
The royal couple concluded their visit with a public walkabout along Russell Street, where local musician Mike McGrother led performances celebrating the Middlesbrough area.
Before departing, Queen Camilla also met with representatives from Maggie's cancer charity to discuss their upcoming centre in Middlesbrough.
