The King, 76, and Queen, 77, spent the three previous days in Rome, where the British monarch also addressed the Italian Parliament.
It is the 17th official visit by Charles to Italy and his first overseas trip this year as he continues to undergo treatment for cancer.
The State Visit has coincided with the 20th wedding anniversary of Charles and Camilla, who married on April 9, 2005.

King Charles and Camilla have travelled to Ravenna in the northeastern Emilia-Romagna region to take part in a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the city's liberation from Nazi occupation by Allied forces in World War Two.
This will mark the final leg of the tour, before the King and Queen return to the UK.
Today's engagements will celebrate literary culture with the royal couple set to visit Dante's tomb, while the Queen will make a solo trip to the Byron museum.
Following a reception in Rome with representatives from the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance, the couple will head to the Piazza San Francesco in Ravenna, where they will tour the final resting place of the legendary Italian literary figure and attend a reading of his classic work, The Divine Comedy.

Later Camilla, a keen reader and supporter of a number of literary charities, will tour the Byron museum and learn about the Romantic poet's life in Italy, and will also attend a reception for local book clubs, libraries, book shops and representatives from her Reading Room book club.
In Ravenna's town hall, the King and Queen will attend a reception marking the 80th anniversary of the province's liberation from Nazi occupation by Allied forces during World War Two, which featured British and Canadian troops.
The couple's tour of Italy will end when they visit Ravenna's market in the Piazza del Popolo and meet local producers and organisations.
Their visit to Ravenna comes after King Charles and Queen Camilla paid a surprise private visit to a convalescing Pope Francis on Wednesday afternoon.

The royal couple visited Francis, 88, at his home in Casa Santa Marta in Vatican City, where he is recovering from a serious bout of pneumonia in both lungs.
An official audience had previously been removed from the royals’ schedule due to the pontiff’s ill health.
The Vatican said in a statement that during the meeting the Pope expressed his best wishes to Charles and Camilla on their 20th wedding anniversary, which they celebrated on Wednesday, while they wished for his “speedy recovery”.
Buckingham Palace said Charles and Camilla “were delighted the pope was well enough to host them – and to have had the opportunity to share their best wishes in person.”
