King Charles has been urged to address Prince Andrew’s links with the late convicted paedophile Jeffery Epstein by a US attorney.

Prince Andrew, 65, is believed to have first met Epstein in 1999, through Epstein's friend Ghislaine Maxwell, with the pair meeting multiple times.

The Duke of York was last picture with Epstein in December 2010 but stressed they met to break off all ties in person and had no contact with him ever since.

However, recent court documents appeared to show Andrew was in contact with the criminal longer that previously stated.

In fresh comments surrounding the pair's relationship, US attorney Gloria Allred urged the Royal Family to put an end to the speculation surrounding Andrew and Epstein, she said: "My sense is they would all (the Royal Family) like it to end, but this is a drip, drip drip of information is like a water torture test.

"My guess is that this is not going to be the last time we hear something, a quote or evidence, not necessarily evidence admissible in a court of law, but evidence, at least in the court of public opinion or some questions raised and then not answered. It's just going to go on like this."

The US lawyer suggested that King Charles has an opportunity to stand with victims of sexual abuse or violence.

Allred said: "Perhaps by showing sympathy for victims of sexual violence, whether it's domestic or by a stranger, that maybe they're trying to say, 'Look, that's not who we are. We do care'. The King should come out and say 'We do care about victims. This is what we believe. We want to help them.' Surely, that is the public image they would like to have. That's the message they would like to send."

Allred is also urging Prince Andrew to speak out after he has kept a low profile since his infamous 2019 Newsnight interview, where he discussed his Friendship with the convicted Paedophile.

She told the Mirror: "We can handle the truth, and the public deserves the truth because he gave that interview, and since he's gone radio silent on the whole issue.

"I don't think he's helping himself. I don't think he's helping the victims, and this isn'tjust about public relations. I mean, this is about what's the duty of anyone?

"If young women are hurt, if young women are in peril if young women who are vulnerable were taken advantage of, even by Jeffrey Epstein, not necessarily by him, why can't they speak about it?"

The Duke of York, who has always denied allegations of sexual misconduct, stepped back from working royal duties and has been stripped of his military titles and patronages since the interview aired.

In an attempt to evict Andrew from Royal Lodge, King Charles axed his security and £1million annual allowance, fuelling a royal feud between the brothers.

The King suggested the duke downsize to Frogmore Cottage, the former residency of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in a bid to cut costs.

Prince Andrew has since found legitimate funding to remain in the Windsor property with his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
