Thomas Markle Jnr spoke with Patrick Christys
GB NEWS
In an exclusive interview with GB News following the statement, Meghan Markle's brother, Thomas Markle Jr, warned the Sussex couple that it is unwise to use a "medical emergency as the basis" for any reconciliation.
Markle Jr told host Patrick Christys now is "not the right time" for Meghan Markle to return to the Royal Family and the UK, because "there's been so much damage and hurt done" to the Royal Family and his family.
He added: "I think it's going to be a while before she can get over there.
"It's the right thing for Harry to do. Nothing else matters when there's a family emergency."

When asked by Patrick Christys if it is the right time for the royal rift between the firm and the Sussexes to be healed, Thomas Markle Jr disagreed.
He stated: "When it comes to a health issue especially, everything needs to be set aside and it should be dealt with first.
"I don't think it's the right circumstance. Rifts have to be healed, sorted out, in a certain manner.
"It's going to take a lot of time to repair your reputation and your relationship based on the damage and the hurt that's been done. But I don't think a medical emergency should be the basis for the mending of a relationship that's bad."
