Buckingham Palace has released a 76-word statement confirming King Charles will skip tomorrow's scheduled royal events after briefly being admitted to hospital.
Charles, 76, who was diagnosed with cancer last February, will take a brief break from public engagements after experiencing temporary side effects from his ongoing medical treatment.
The King has since returned to Clarence House and will now miss tomorrow's tour of Birmingham's Royal Ballet.
GB News understands that Queen Camilla did not join the King on his hospital visit.

In its statement, Buckingham Palace said: "Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital.
"His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed.
"His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled.
"His Majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result."

Charles's cancer was discovered following treatment for an enlarged prostate and the monarch has undergone weekly treatment ever since.
The King took a brief break from frontline duties, waiting until February 21 last year to hold an in-person meeting with then-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
He also read get well cards, saying: "It’s reduced me to tears most of the time."
Charles later attended Easter Services in Windsor, shaking hands with fans of the Firm
He carried out his first engagement since his cancer diagnosis alongside Queen Camilla at University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre.
The appearance came just weeks before Charles attended his second Trooping the Colour as monarch.
The 76-year-old briefly paused his cancer treatment during his visit to Australia and Samoa last October.
At the end of 2024, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Charles will continue to undergo treatment throughout 2025.
