In 1990, her son Sebastian died from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), also known as cot death.
After her tragic bereavement, Anne Diamond worked with The Lullaby Trust and the Department of Health to launch the national Back to Sleep awareness campaign.
The campaign raised awareness of the dangers to babies sleeping on their fronts, and encouraged parents to place their children on their backs.

The campaign has been credited wit a reduction in cot deaths.
Anne was named in the New Year Honours in December and said: "This OBE is literally a crowning achievement to everyone who helped me and upon whose ground-breaking research my campaign was based.
"This is also testament that the media can be a force for good.
