King Charles has been blasted for displaying a "weak leadership" for Christianity after delivering his Easter message to the nation.
The monarch is facing swathes of criticism after choosing to reflect on Judaism and Islam in his message - on a holiday that celebrates Christianity.
Addressing the nation, King Charles said: "On Maundy Thursday, Jesus knelt and washed the feet of many of those who would abandon Him. His humble action was a token of His love that knew no bounds or boundaries and is central to Christian belief.
"The love He showed when He walked the Earth reflected the Jewish ethic of caring for the stranger and those in need, a deep human instinct echoed in Islam and other religious traditions, and in the hearts of all who seek the good of others."

Discussing the King's statement, GB News viewer Laura expressed her fury at churches in Britain, and admitted she has had to leave several churches in a matter of months.
She told host Patrick Christys: "I can't seem to find a church where I don't get wound up by either a Labour activist vicar, or a Green Party activist vicar. It's really becoming quite difficult to find a church in London now.
"I've been to just under ten churches in London within the last six months, and I just get wound up and I leave."
Hitting out at the King's message, Laura then blasted the monarch and the country's leaders for failing to stand up to the depletion of Christianity in Britain.

"We have no proper leadership for Christianity in this country. When is someone going to stand up and do something about the Church of England in this country?"
In agreement with Laura, broadcaster Cristo Foufas claimed the King's decision to include other faiths in his Easter message is out of "fear".
Foufas told the GB News audience: "In context of the King, it's fear. I think that there is such a fear now - I'm not particularly religious, but I have a lot more sympathy now for Christianity than I used to.

"Because I think that Christianity is the only religion that there is a fear of saying this moment, this time, is just ours. We're just going to praise Easter, praise something that is a Christian holiday. But there is such a fear in this country to do that, that you can't just be Christian."
Weighing in on the King's Easter message, commentator Adam Brooks claimed that both the Prime Minister and monarch are "watering down" Christianity.
He concluded: "Of course he should promote Christianity, but we've got a Prime Minister that would rather tweet about other religious days than our own, and now we've got a King that wants to water down the Easter message.
"It looks very sinister from the outside. I'm an atheist, but I think churches are beautiful, they are part of our heritage. I think they should be celebrated and protected, and yet we have got churches that are being damaged."
