King Charles's cancer could be more serious than first thought, a former royal butler has said as the monarch resides in Sandringham following the diagnosis.
In a statement released on Monday evening, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King has been diagnosed with "a form of cancer" and will postpone all public-facing duties.
This follows the King's recent hospitalisation for a "benign enlarged prostate", where he underwent a "corrective procedure".
Queen Camilla was by his side as he left The London Clinic last week having previously told concerned onlookers that the King was "fine" and "looking forward to getting back to work".

Following a brief meeting with his estranged son Prince Harry, who flew from Los Angeles on Monday night following the announcement, the King and Queen headed to their Sandringham estate.
It is thought King Charles will reside and receive his cancer treatment at his Norfolk residence.
Speaking to GB News, former royal butler Grant Harrold expressed his concern for the King's health and admitted "something doesn't seem quite right" with the monarch.
He added that seeing how Prince William has been following the diagnosis and his first public appearance since the statement on Wednesday, Harrold said the Prince of Wales "didn't seem right" in himself.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Harrold said of the King's cancer: "I'm not going to lie, I am beginning to wonder if it is more serious than we first thought.
"The thing about the King, as I've said over the last couple of days, is that he is somebody that just goes on with business. He very much puts his head down, he's a real worker, he's a real grafter and he just goes on with it."
Harrold continued: "But I've just got a feeling that something's not quite right. And time will tell, and I hope I'm wrong - I'd like to think I'm wrong, but something just doesn't seem quite right."
The former butler to the Royal Family also expressed concern for Prince William's well-being, as he continues to help his wife Princess Kate recover from her surgery, and undertake extra duties in the King's absence.

Harrold highlighted to GB News: "It could just be as simple as he's worried about his father and his wife who has also obviously gone through some sort of serious procedure. I mean, there's no question about it.
"But when he was doing his investitures, he just didn't seem quite right. I can't put my finger on it. Something just didn't seem right."
He continued: "And then with Harry suddenly coming in for the 12-minute audience with the King and then suddenly going back, there's just something odd.
"It could also be maybe he's just upset about something, but I just get the feeling that there's something else going on. But we might never know the reality."
