Royal fans have been left devastated after noticing a "sad coincidence" related to King Charles's cancer diagnosis.
On Monday, Buckingham Palace confirmed the monarch had been diagnosed with a form of cancer, unrelated to his prostate surgery in January.
This came five days after Queen Camilla, 76, visited Maggie's Centres, which "provides expert emotional and practical support to people with cancer".
On Sunday, the Royal Family social media account posted on X: "Today is #WorldCancerDay - a global initiative aiming to raise awareness about cancer.

Royal fans were quick to notice the "sad coincidence" of Camilla's visit last week and the social media post, released just a day after King Charles's diagnosis was announced.
One fan commented underneath the Royal Family's post: "Very ironic."
Another said: "Wow this would have been so difficult for the Queen to do given the King’s diagnosis.

Similarly, a royal watcher added: "Might be the biggest coincidence of the century."
One social media user said: "This aged extremely poorly."

On Monday, Buckingham Palace issued the following statement: "During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
"His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.

"Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.
"The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure.
