Perry revealed that after the ceremony, she and her team rushed through the palace to meet with the King and Queen.

She explained that there were certain routes through the castle they were supposed to take but “everyone was running” in every direction.

Perry revealed: “I ran straight into them, and I was like, ‘Oh, I went the wrong way!’”

The American Idol judge stayed at Windsor with her mother when she attended the crowing ceremony in the UK.

Perry explained: “I brought my mother because, I mean, that’s like the best gift you could ever give your mom.”

The pop star also cleared up some speculation surrounding a viral video that emerged of Katy Perry looking lost at the Coronation.

In the video, Perry appeared in an all-lavender outfit with a statement headpiece unable to find a seat.

Perry explained that “there’s no assigned seating” apart from “the first two rows” so Westminster Abbey had open seating for almost 2,200 guests.
