Lady Colin Campbell has slammed Prince William and Princess Kate, following reports that the royal couple have hired a ‘CEO’ to run the Wales household of 60 staff.
Speaking on Dan Wootton Tonight, the royal author and commentator criticised the latest move by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Lady C said: “I think it is an experiment, and I think it is an experiment that is doomed to fail, because private secretaries are effectively CEO's of the households that they are private secretaries of, and all of them report to the monarch.
“The monarch is the ultimate authority and if you now have two CEO's, one called the CEO, the other called a private secretary, you are divided.”
Campbell continued: “You might divide and rule, but I would actually think what you're going to do is cause an awful lot of chaos. But let us wait and see what happens.”
