Princess Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith has been defended by Lady Colin Campbell, after making his bombshell debut on reality television.
The Princess of Wales's relative entered the Celebrity Big Brother house this week after signing on to the ITV reboot of the show.
The signing sparked widespread criticism and concern for the Princess, as she continues to recover privately from planned abdominal surgery.
During his first few days on the show, Goldsmith has admitted Kate is "simply perfect", and that she is recuperating in a "nice house somewhere".

Goldsmith has also hit out at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, calling for their royal titles to be stripped.
He told former This Morning presenter Fern Britton: "I genuinely think that they should take the titles away."
Reacting to the TV appearance by Princess Kate's uncle, socialite and commentator Lady Colin Campbell came to his defence, and claimed "every family has got one, and the Goldsmith family has Gary".
She added that "according to everybody who knows him", he's a "great character but also a businessman", and he's been offered "a vast amount of money" to go in.

Lady C told GBN America: "He's not a royal, he's just connected to the Royal Family. It's up to him whether he accepts or not."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Lady C defended Goldsmith's loyalty to the Royal Family and recalled his publicly known stance on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, noting he's "made it clear what his opinions are".
She told host Nana Akua: "I think it's going to be good entertainment. I would have thought that Gary Goldsmith is going to be very good television, and anything he says is not going to ultimately affect the royals adversely.
"Why should a connection to the Royal Family prevent somebody who is not supported by the Royal Family or the state from earning money? It's not quite exploitative if he does it properly."
Discussing Goldsmith's stance on the Sussexes, Lady C said he would be "speaking for an awful lot of people" if he criticised them on the show.

Lady C fumed: "Catherine can't defend herself, and if her uncle wishes to go into the Celebrity Big Brother house and say this is a whole load of rubbish, I say good luck to him.
"And if he gets paid the vast sum of money for doing so, why not?! Maybe I'm being too flexible, but I don't think I am. I think many people will feel the way I do."
Nana agreed, admitting: "I agree with you, I can't wait to see him in the Big Brother house. Especially seeing as he's going to call a spade a spade. He shoots from the hip. He says what he thinks.
"I'm pleased that somebody will be speaking out for the Royal Family because they can't really speak out for themselves. And when they do, it's twisted. It's always twisted. I'm actually going to watch Celebrity Big Brother just to see what he has to say."
