Princess Kate is “incredibly unlikely” to attend Trooping the Colour as she could upstage the King, GB News Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker has stated.
While the Princess of Wales has already confirmed she will not be attending in an official capacity, rumours have circulated over whether she could appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Speaking on GB News, Cameron said that Kate making a surprise appearance would risk upstaging the King during his birthday parade.
“Kensington Palace has not ruled out a balcony appearance, but I think it’s incredibly unlikely”, he said.

“The reason being, it’s the King’s birthday parade and I think if she did appear on the balcony, it would upstage that event.
“Kensington Palace have always said that they will provide an update when there is one. The princess herself has asked for the space and the privacy to recover, and I think speculation kind of puts unnecessary pressure on her.

“It’s not right for us to speculate when somebody is going to be returning to work”, he said.
“She did not go to the Colonel review, the final rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, as it were, last weekend. But she did write a letter.”
Preparations for Trooping the Colour took place over the weekend with King Charles spotted beaming in full military uniform.
The monarch wore his Field Marshall’s uniform with frock coat and medals as he inspected guardsmen and officers on parade at Windsor Castle.
Kate sent a letter to the regiment to apologise for not being able to take the salute and to wish them luck for the Colonel’s Review.
She spoke of her pride, adding that being Colonel “remains an honour”.
