Former Big Brother star Kerry Katona has slammed Princess Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith for joining the Celebrity Big Brother line-up and said that he will be "disliked straight away."
On the show Goldsmith introduced himself as the "uncle to the future queen of our country", and said his niece is "simply perfect".
He also said that he would like to "put the record straight" on his "bad boy reputation".
Speaking to GB News Katona, who previously took part in Celebrity Big Brother herself back in 2011, said: "I mean the Royals have had a really rubbish time of it late lately and I feel like putting somebody like Uncle Gaz in there, he's really not going to help matters.

"I mean especially what's going on with King Charles and Kate's off the face of the earth. She clearly can't be watching the show.
"Obviously she is just sat behind the sofa or watching through her hands. But I take everybody on face value, you know he could be a really nice guy who knows what he's going to say.
"I don't like judging people when I've never met them and I don't know who they are. So hopefully this will give us a chance to get to know him.
"And as a public person I'm being nosy, maybe he will tell us where the hell Kate's gone."

Royal fans have been sharing their concern for Kate, who recently underwent abdominal surgery.
After the surgery, Kate was deemed 'missing' by concerned Royal fans who pondered why she had been out of the limelight for such an extended period of time
Katona added: "I think, straight away he is going to be one of the most unliked characters in there.
"Because I do love the Royal Family. I think obviously since the Queen passing, it's never been the same since.
