Princess Kate has once again demonstrated her commitment to sustainable fashion by rewearing a Ralph Lauren tweed jacket that dates back nearly 18 years.

The Princess of Wales donned the brown herringbone blazer during her visit to Wales with Prince William on Wednesday.

Fashion experts have identified it as possibly her oldest rewear, with the jacket first appearing in her wardrobe in 2007 - when the royal couple were still dating and before their brief separation.

The classic piece showcases Kate's signature approach to timeless style.

The tweed jacket first made its public appearance on March 13, 2007, when Kate wore it to the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival alongside Prince William.

At the time, she paired the single-breasted olive-brown blazer with a matching midi skirt and stylish sunglasses.

This outing occurred during a significant period in their relationship, just months before their temporary breakup.

Not long after these photos were taken, the couple briefly parted ways, with William beginning his military career while Kate moved to London to share a flat with her sister Pippa.

For her Wales visit, Kate styled the vintage jacket with a brown roll-neck jumper and a brown and beige tartan skirt from Gucci's Resort 2019 collection.

She completed the look with suede knee-high boots from Gianvito Rossi and delicate gold and garnet earrings from Spells of Love.

The Princess pinned a daffodil - Wales's national flower - to her blazer lapel during the engagement.

Despite the 18-year gap, Kate's styling approach remained remarkably consistent with how she wore the piece in 2007.

The Prince and Princess of Wales undertook several engagements in Pontypridd ahead of St David's Day.

The royal couple arrived by train and were put to work at The Welsh Cake Shop, where they donned aprons to make traditional Welsh cakes.

They later spoke with local business owners at the Fountain Café about the impact of recent floods.

Kate's rewear of the Ralph Lauren jacket reinforces her reputation as the "Queen of the Recycled Outfit," as described by fashion commentators.

The Princess has long been known for her tendency to recycle previous ensembles, sometimes many years apart.
