Princess Kate's return to royal duties at the Trooping The Colour hangs in the balance despite an announcement from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) appearing to confirm her attendance.
This morning the MOD released details for the Trooping The Colour event which will take place on Saturday, June 8 2024.
The overview of the event on the British Army website indicated that the Princess of Wales would lead the event.
However, GB News understands Kensington Palace was not consulted about the announcement this morning.

The overview of the event reads: "Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present.
"Taking part will be over 1400 soldiers of the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade on Horse Guards for the second of two formal Reviews.
It appears the Princess of Wales's attendance is not guaranteed at this stage.

It comes as the princess was seen for the first time since her abdominal surgery yesterday.
Kate was seen in a car being driven by her mother Carole Middleton near Windsor Castle.
The royal had not previously been seen by the public since Christmas Day 2023 in Sandringham.
