Kate set for promotion as King Charles could give Princess of Wales new power

Kate, the Princess of Wales looks set for a promotion within the Royal Family as her influence within the monarchy continues to grow.
Prince William and his wife are pivotal to King Charles's new streamlined version of the Royal Family that will focus on the direct line of succession.
The Princess of Wales will celebrate her 42nd birthday on January 9th 2024 and it could also be the year when Kate is granted new power by the King.
Kate is expected to spend her birthday in Windsor alongside William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

A source told the Mail: "They'll be at Windsor as the children are just about to start back at school, so it will just be family. But to be honest, that's just the way she likes it."
King Charles is reportedly considering appointing Kate as a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter, the most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain.
The monarch personally chooses the members with key members in the Royal Family such as Prince William, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Prince Edward already part of the Order of the Garter.
The King may also grant the Princess of Wales the power to grant royal warrants, alongside Queen Camilla and Prince William.
There will be an upcoming review of royal warrants for a group of around 800 firms that supply the royal household.
The document which allows firms to use the Royal Arms in their branding is held by Burberry and Barbour in addition to many other exclusive garment makers.
The monarch decides who grants royal warrants, Prince Philip and Charles when he held the title of the Prince of Wales had the power alongside Queen Elizabeth II.

Currently, just King Charles has the power but he may grant Queen Camilla and Prince William similar roles to the ones held by Prince Philip and himself under the late Queen.
Some existing warrant holders told the Mail that having Kate officially endorse them would be a "huge boost to the British industry".
One said: "Interest would go through the roof, particularly in areas such as fashion and lifestyle."
