Carice told the Princess of Wales: "We so often see you at matches because our girls are always playing each other, they are Farleigh and Lambrook, so I think there's stiff competition."
Ben and Carice have a daughter in the same school year as Princess Charlotte.
Kate replied: "I was just saying, they're doing so much, sporting events."
Carice joked: "Now it's getting a bit warmer, it's a bit nicer for a spectator."

The Prince and Princess of Wales are looking for a new school to send Prince George, 11, as the Princess of Wales is said to be reluctant to send her son to an all-boys school like Eton.
Prince William and Prince Harry went to the Windsor boarding school together during their early education.
However, the future King and Queen are tipped to send their eldest son to Marlborough College, where Princess Kate attended, but it is understood no official decision has been made.
Prince George and his parents have visited Marlborough College previously, where a place costs £47,000 a year.
