Princess Kate and Prince William send public message to Queen Camilla as royal celebrates birthday

Taking to social media, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a picture of Camilla to celebrate her special day.

They captioned the post: "Wishing Her Majesty a very Happy Birthday!"

The photograph of Camilla was taken by Kate two years ago to celebrate the Queen's 75th birthday.

The Princess of Wales travelled to Camilla's home in Wiltshire to photograph the royal.

In the portrait, Camilla wore a blue-and-white floral dress and held a basket filled with pelargoniums, which looked ready to be planted.

The passionate gardener, who has been married to King Charles for 19 years, looked content in the picture.

According to The Telegraph, Camilla was asked who she would like to take the photograph for her 75th birthday.

Country Life editor Mark Hedges said: "She immediately replied, 'Oh I'd quite like Catherine to do it'.

"I spent the next three or four minutes desperately racking my brains trying to think of a professional photographer called Catherine.

"Then suddenly I grasped what she meant—one of the most amazing things that could happen.

A behind-the-scenes shot of Kate taking Camilla's photo was also shared on the Royal Family's Instagram.

Dressed casually in jeans and trainers, the amateur photographer could be seen taking the perfect shot.
