A friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales said: “Both sides understand each other’s position clearly now.
“William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry’s memoir (Spare).
“They don’t speak to Harry and Meghan, and they are certainly not about to start when Catherine is at her most vulnerable.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were understood to have reached out to Princess Kate privately following her diagnosis.

PAAnother friend continued to tell The Daily Beast: “[Harry is] just another person who sold his story to the papers.
“A ‘get well soon’ message is neither here nor there.
“But the whole situation doesn’t use up a huge amount of their mental energy any more.
“William and Kate have accepted it and moved on. Cancer puts things in perspective.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
“William respects his father’s wish to reconcile with his son, but his focus now is on protecting his family from stressful situations.”
Buckingham Palace are likely to have known about Harry's trip for some time, as the duke is required to give at least 28 days notice before visiting the UK so security can be planned.
He lost a recent case against the Government in which he sought automatic police protection in the UK, which would have given him more flexibility on travel plans.
After the duke's whistlestop tour in the UK, he will jet to Nigeria with Meghan Markle for an unofficial royal tour.
