Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that Prince William was "appalled" by his brother's autobiography.
Fitzwilliams said: "It may be things are going on that are not known but it was not a surprise given Prince William's intense feelings. He was appalled by the allegations in Spare.
"Given it is a deeply pressured and sensitive time for William, Catherine and their family, I don't think anyone expected Harry would see them.
"They did think he would see King Charles and he didn't, it has been disputed as to why."

Earlier this week, a royal source told the Mail that Princess Kate is "in a very different position" to King Charles after the monarch return to public-facing duties in late April.
The source said: "No one wants to put any pressure on Catherine.
"The only thing that matters at the moment is her getting better. She has been through an ordeal this year."
They added: "As Sovereign, His Majesty is in a very different position from the Princess of Wales.
"There is no need for her to be seen while she’s recovering."
