Kate beams as Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis step out on Christmas Day

Hundreds of well-wishers in festive attire had gathered since the early hours, with Princess Kate smiling and waving at the assembled crowd.

King Charles and Queen Camilla led the Royal Family in their traditional Christmas Day church service at Sandringham.

The King, 76, and Queen Camilla, 77, walked the short distance from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church, greeted by crowds of well-wishers who had been waiting since yesterday evening.

Members of the Royal Family were welcomed at the church steps by the Reverend Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams before heading inside for the service.

The annual gathering drew royal supporters who lined the path to catch a glimpse of the festive procession.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were joined by their three children - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

Both Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales chose striking emerald green coats for the occasion, with Catherine's design by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Prince William walked hand in hand with Princess Charlotte, while Kate smiled warmly at the gathered crowds.

The Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were also among the royal party making their way to the church.

The service began with the National Anthem, followed by the first hymn, O Come, All Ye Faithful.

Crowds were given copies of the order of service, which included traditional Christmas hymns Oh Little Town of Bethlehem and While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night.

The congregation also joined in singing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.

The service, conducted by the Rector Rev Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams, included The Lord's Prayer.

The Royal Family's Christmas celebrations extend beyond the church service, with traditions reflecting their heritage.

Members of The Firm opened their presents on Christmas Eve, following their German origins, with gifts laid out on trestle tables and exchanged at teatime.

Prince William recently shared his excitement about spending Christmas with 45 family members "all in one room" while attending an event for the 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment in Bulford, Wiltshire.

Prince Andrew, however, was notably absent from the Royal Family's celebrations, opting instead for a solitary walk.
