Princess Kate and Prince William have secured their top spots in a popularity poll, despite scathing attacks on their work ethic.
According to a YouGov poll, the Prince and Princess of Wales ranked second and first for the most popular living royals in 2023.
This comes as Kate, 41, was criticised by some royal fans for only attending 123 engagements this year.
This was 49 fewer engagements than the Duke of Gloucester, 79, completed in 2023.

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester completed 172 engagements in 2023 - the same number as Prince William, 41.
Many fans took to social media to slam the Waleses, claiming that as the future King and Queen, they should be attending more engagements like Princess Anne, who completed a whopping 457 this year.
One fan posted on Twitter: "128 engagements from the Princess of Wales. What. A. Joke. She should be ashamed."
They added: "172 from William is also unacceptable. Should expect at least 250 from the heir to the throne.
"These are their prime years, they’re wasting them."
Another wrote: "Yikes! The heirs being that low is not good. Both of them need to pick it up next year. It’s getting embarrassing."
Despite these critiques, Kate has ended the year with a 71 per cent approval rating.
Prince William was not too far behind, having ended 2023 with a 69 per cent approval rating.
