The Prince and Princess of Wales rushed back from the Royal Family’s visit to Scotland for the key polo fixture

Princess Kate has been snapped giving Prince William a celebratory kiss after the father-of-three won £1million by playing in a charity polo match.

The Prince of Wales has helped raise more than a million pounds for charity after appearing in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup fixture.


The game was held at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park.

Kate, 41, stunned onlookers in a £550 blue Beulah dress and sunglasses.

She watched on while sipping on champagne as her husband took to the field.

The Princess of Wales was also seen chatting and laughing with other attendees, including William’s cousin Peter Phillips.

The Duke of Cornwall, also 41, played in defence and utilised a sturdy backhand swing to score two goals in a fiercely contested fixture.

William even broke his mallet as he scored his second goal with a ferocious strike.

The Prince faced off against rival teams BP Healthcare and Standing Rock in the round-robin tournament.

William donned the number four jersey as he played alongside Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha for the US Polo Assn team.

Prince William was congratulated by his wife as he was presented with a trophy after the victory.

The mother-of-three patted his arms with a proud smile.

The couple returned home to Windsor after visiting Scotland for King Charles and Queen Camilla’s thanksgiving service at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Prince chooses to play in this match each year because of the money it raises for the incredible causes Their Royal Highnesses support.”

The Prince of Wales first took to the field in the charity polo match in 2006.

The event has raised a total of £12 million for charity.

Among the other charities due to benefit from the event are Mountain Rescue England & Wales, Foundling Museum, Forward Trust, East Anglia Children’s Hospices and three baby charities supported by the Princess; Baby Basics, Little Village and AberNecessities.
