Princess Kate and Prince William will not attend this year's Bafta Film Awards on Sunday, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
The Prince of Wales, who serves as Bafta President, was never scheduled to attend the 2025 ceremony, despite his appearance last year.
Instead, he is focusing his efforts on supporting the next generation of British film talent.
The prince will make an appearance in a video package during Sunday's awards ceremony.

In his role as Bafta President, he is set to visit the London Screen Academy in Islington on Wednesday.
The visit aims to showcase how the academy is developing future talent in Film and TV industries.
During his visit to the academy, Prince William will tour the facilities and meet with students.
The prince will engage with those studying costume, makeup and production as they work on their final-year collaboration project.

The LSA, which opened in 2019, is a free sixth form academy providing hands-on training in film production, costume design, editing and animation.
The academy was established by leading film industry figures to address skills shortages and diversity gaps in UK screen industries.
Students combine industry-specific training with traditional qualifications such as Maths and English A Levels.
The prince will observe Year 13 students participating in the Collaboration Project, where pupils across four pathways transform the school into a working film set to produce their short film 'Melomania'.

During his visit to the academy, Prince William will tour the facilities and meet with students.

The prince will meet with hair and makeup teams during his tour, learning about the creative process behind the students' work.
He will also explore how costumes were designed and created for the production.
The visit will culminate with Prince William joining students on set, where he will assist in filming a portion of 'Melomania'.
