Kate was diagnosed with cancer this year and has stepped back from all royal duties as she focuses on her health.
The Princess of Wales's attendance at Trooping the Colour marked her first public appearance in six months and the only engagement she has undertaken following her cancer diagnosis.
However, royal sources indicated at the time that the princess hoped to be present at two or three additional engagements this summer.
Kate normally presents the trophies to the men's and women's singles winners at the tennis tournament and this had been pinpointed as a potential next appearance for the Princess of Wales.
