Kate's major event this week will have "maximum exposure" and is a "wonderful opportunity" for the Princess of Wales, according to a royal commentator.
Preparations are underway for Kate's annual 'Together at Christmas' carol service on Friday which is also set to air on ITV on Christmas Eve.
The event is one of Kate's most iconic annual appearances during the royal calendar.
Last year, the Princess of Wales was joined by her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The young royals are expected to join Kate and Prince William at this week's service.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the event is a "wonderful opportunity" to celebrate Princess Kate's health improving.
In March, the royal announced she had been diagnosed with cancer, however, in a health boost in September, Kate revealed she had finished her preventative chemotherapy treatment for the disease.
Fitzwilliams said regarding the upcoming appearance: "This is very important, we knew she was going to attend as it is so important for her.

"She has done this for four years, there was the iconic appearance where she played the piano.
"Also last year for the first time all three of her children attended.
"It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate that she is getting better, she has finished chemotherapy.
"She is looking forward obviously to doing more in the next year.
