Kate has suffered a fresh blow as a second photo taken by her has been flagged over editing concerns.
The Princess of Wales faced scrutiny last week for editing a Mother’s Day photo released on William and Kate’s official Instagram.
Now a picture agency has revealed that a photograph of the late Queen Elizabeth II with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was also edited.
The publishing company, Getty Images, has labelled the photoshopped image as “digitally enhanced at source.”

The picture shows the late Queen at Balmoral in August 2022 sitting with eight of her 12 grandchildren taken by Princess Kate.
Buckingham Palace released the photo on April 21, 2023, to mark what would have been the late Queen’s 97th birthday.
Getty Images reviewed the photograph from last year after several news agencies withdrew Kate’s Mother’s Day image over fears of “manipulation.”
A spokesman for Getty told The Telegraph: “Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and placed an editor’s note on it, stating that the image has been digitally enhanced at source.”
Several discrepancies were found in the image taken last year including a vertical line on the tartan of the Queen’s skirt not matching.
Other vertical lines on the green sofa on which the family members sit also do not match with the rest of the fabric.
Furthermore, there is a dark shadow visible behind Prince Louis’s ear and a similar black patch behind Prince George’s collar.
The Telegraph also reported that there are signs of “digital repetition” of Mia Tindall’s hair, the eldest daughter of Mike and Zara Tindall.
Last year suspicions about the photograph were first raised by tech CEO Christopher Bouzy who believed it had been photoshopped.
The princess publicly apologised and admitted to editing the Mother’s Day photo released on March 10 saying that she would “occasionally experiment with editing.”
She also apologised for “any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”
The edited photograph prompted the American broadcaster CNN to announce that they were reviewing all photographs released by Kensington Palace.

Furthermore, the global news director of Agence France-Presse, Phil Chetwynd, said that Kensington Palace was no longer a “trusted source.”
Chetwynd said that Kate’s photograph had “clearly” violated the French agency’s rules and that they were forced to make the decision as the palace did not release the original image.
It is undersood that the photograph of the Queen in Balmoral is only retained by Getty Images in its library.
Other picture agencies do not stock the image as it was only released for use until December 2023.
