The Princess of Wales announced that she has been undergoing chemotherapy

Princess Kate's brother has shared an emotional message after his sister revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

The Princess of Wales is now on a path to recovery as she continues a course of chemotherapy.

Writing on social media, James Middleton posted an unseen childhood picture of himself and Kate alongside a heartfelt message.

He wrote: "Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too."

The image shows Kate and James as children with a picturesque mountain in the background.

The entrepreneur rarely comments on his relationship with the Princess of Wales in public.

But according to reports, Pippa, James and Carole Middleton have rallied around Princess Kate following her abdominal surgery.

It is said that Kate's parents have been an "enduring presence" for the Princess of Wales since she returned home.

Carole and Michael live in Bucklebury Manor, which is a 40-minute drive away from Adelaide Cottage on Windsor Great Park.

During the emotional video, Kate said she is now undergoing chemotherapy but did not say which type of cancer she has been diagnosed with.

The princess underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024 and has not returned to public duties since the major operation.

Kate confirmed that she has told her three young children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, about her diagnosis.
