Kate's uncle has received mixed reviews on this year's series of Celebrity Big Brother

Gary Goldsmith has laid bare who he thinks Princess Kate would vote for to win Celebrity Big Brother.

Kate's uncle has been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house after an embarrassing five-day stint.

The 58-year-old businessman is the younger brother of Carole Middleton.

Appearing on Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live for his exit interview, Goldsmith was asked who Princess Kate would "root for" in the show, now that her uncle has been evicted.

He said: "There is one super-human person in that house. Levi Roots is an absolute star.

"I have all the respect for him as a human being and I just know if he were to win, he will use that power for good, for other people, as opposed to self-care development, and earning more money.

"The man is a legend."

Host Will Best asked: "Do you think Kate would agree with that?"

Goldsmith replied: "100 per cent. Somebody who puts other people first and that's our Kate."

He later joked: "Did you know I'm related to her?"

Elsewhere in the eviction interview, Goldsmith was quizzed about repeatedly talking about the Royal Family during his time in the Big Brother house.

He said: "To be fair, people were asking me about it. They didn't know what else I was.

"What do you do, G? Why are you here, if not for that?

"People were asking me a lot of questions, specifically about that, they didn't know what else to ask me.

"I did volunteer it a lot. Fair's fair. Yeah, you caught me."
