Princess Kate left King Charles "so impressed" ahead of a major Royal Family honour, a royal commentator has claimed.

In 2024, the Princess of Wales was appointed a Royal Companion of the Order of the Companions of Honour by the monarch.


The order, founded by King George V in 1917, is among the country's most distinguished royal appointments.

It recognises accomplishments in art, science, medicine, and public service.

Christopher Andersen, a royal commentator, told Fox News that Kate has always been "tough-minded", which left King Charles "impressed".

He explained: "Because of their shared cancer battle, Kate and the King have strengthened their bond in ways neither could have imagined," he explained.

"King Charles was so impressed with her grace and grit that he bestowed a singular honour on Kate, making her a Royal Companion of Honour, an unmistakable sign of his faith in her ability to help carry the monarchy forward."

Royal commentator Helena Chard also told the outlet: "King Charles is extremely fond and proud of his daughter-in-law.

"I believe he is one of her biggest fans. They share similar passions, and he recognises her wow factor, empathy and resilience.

"She has helped revolutionise royal parenting.
