"His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness."

The King's medical announcement on January 17 led to a surge in searches regarding prostate conditions.

Robert Hardman, who wrote the recently released Charles III biography, claimed the King will want Kate to take time away from royal duties over the coming months.

Hardman added that the monarch was "worried" about the Princess of Wales.

The royal commentator said: "He's a huge fan of hers. He thinks she's a great asset.

"He'll be more worried than anyone other than Prince William about her. She's fit, she's young and she's out of action for three months.

"That's a cause for concern, not alarm, but he'll definitely be taking the view 'For God's sake don't make her feel she's got to come back to duties any sooner than she feels she needs to.'

"I don't think there's anyone who wants to put any kind of pressure on her."
