Princess Kate "did not want" Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis visiting her in hospital, a royal commentator has claimed.
The three Wales children did not accompany Prince William when he visited Kate during her 13-day stay at the exclusive London Clinic.
"I don't think she wanted to make more of a big thing of it than it already was," Royal biographer Ingrid Seward claimed.
"They’ll be rallying around in their own way and helping to look after her."

Instead, Kate communicated with her children over FaceTime, something she and William do when they travel abroad on royal tours.
Children are usually not permitted to enter The London Clinic without authorisation from the hospital in order to protect patients and prevent illnesses.
After being released from hospital on Monday, Princess Kate quietly made her way back to Adelaide Cottage, the family's private home close to Windsor Castle.
There, she was reunited with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.
Seward continued to tell People Magazine: "I’m sure she’s utterly exhausted, but she’ll recover well."
Kensington Palace said Kate is "making good progress," adding that she and William are grateful to her medical team.
Although the specific details of Kate's illness are unknown, the Palace has confirmed that it is noncancerous.
The Princess of Wales will likely rely on her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, sister Pippa Middleton, and the children's longtime nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, for help as she begins her recuperation.
