Kensington Palace has released a statement on Princess Kate’s recovery timeline following her hospital procedure.
In January, the princess underwent a planned abdominal surgery at The London Clinic where she spent 13 days recovering in hospital.
Since then, she has been staying at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor with her family.
At the time of her surgery, the palace announced that the princess was unlikely to be returning to public duties until after Easter.

Now Kensington Palace has reaffirmed this timeline through a statement: “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”
It comes as the Prince of Wales unexpectedly pulled out of a memorial service for his godfather on Tuesday for “personal reasons.”
To avoid any speculation, the palace quickly announced that Kate was “doing well” in her recovery.
There have been no further details about Princess Kate’s operation, but it was confirmed to be non-cancerous.
On January 17, the palace issued a statement asking to respect Kate’s privacy in relation to her medical information.
The statement read: “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”
After the princess was admitted to hospital, William stepped back from his royal duties to look after his wife and their three children.
Kate’s last formal public outing was with the Royal Family on Christmas Day 2023.

Earlier this month it was reported that Kate joined her family for a half-term holiday in Norfolk but there have been no pictures of the princess since Christmas.
While Kate has kept her medical information private, the King has been very open about his recent health concerns.
The monarch was treated for an enlarged prostate in January and shortly after revealed that he was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer.
Although the King is not undertaking any public-facing duties, he has been pictured on multiple occasions since the operation including on his walks to church and in a video where he read letters from well-wishers.
