Carole Middleton was “very worried” about Princess Kate following her abdominal surgery as the royal continues her recovery process at home, according to a royal commentator.
Kate’s mother Carole and her sister, Pippa Matthews, have been an important presence following her medical procedure.
The Princess of Wales has been recovering this month at Adelaide Cottage.
Former royal correspondent, Jennie Bond, said that Kate’s mum would have been “very worried” about her daughter and “clucking around like a mother hen.”

Kate’s parents are said to have cleared their diaries to support the princess’s recovery and help take care of Prince George, 10, Prince Charlotte, eight and Prince Louis, five.
Adelaide Cottage is close to her families’ homes as the whole Middleton family lives in the Berkshire area.
Kate is not expected to return to work until after Easter leaving William to support his wife and look after their three children.
However, Bond suggested that Kate will have close friends to support her and “pamper” her as she remains at home.

"They have probably pampered her with fabulous gifts of luxurious spa products and hampers of delicious goodies to tempt her tastebuds. They know what she might like to watch on TV or to read, and may have been sending recommendations and encouraging her to rest and take the time out she needs.”
Bond explained that Kate has two strong friendship groups: her oldest mates from school and friends through William’s crowd.
Bond added: “But sometimes, your oldest friends – who’ve been with you through thick and thin – are just the ticket.

Over the half term holiday, Kate had a change of scenery as she travelled with her family to Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
Bond said “It’s very encouraging that Kate was well enough to make the trip to Sandringham. It shows that she is making a steady recovery.”
