The Princess of Wales will not attend the Colonel’s Review next month as she continues her chemotherapy treatment for a form of cancer.
Kate will miss the traditional rehearsal for Trooping the Colour which will take place on June 8, royal sources have confirmed.
In her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards, the princess would have been due to take the salute at the event.
However, Lieutenant General James Bucknall will be the inspecting officer on behalf of the Princess of Wales.

In the video message, the royal confirmed that she had undergone preventative chemotherapy.
Kate has not undertaken a public engagement since December 2023 and will not return to royal duties next month.
In March this year, just weeks before the Princess of Wales announced she had been diagnosed with cancer, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) released details of the June 8 event indicating that Kate would take part.

Tickets were being sold with a picture of the Princess of Wales, and a line saying she would be reviewing troops on June 8, however, this was deleted within 24 hours of being posted.
The attendance of senior royals at the Trooping the Colour ceremony is confirmed closer to the time of the event.
it comes as Buckingham Palace confirmed King Charles will attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony next month.
