Princess Kate has sparked a frenzy after swapping her rings for public engagements.
The Princess of Wales made a notable appearance at the National Portrait Gallery on Tuesday, but her iconic sapphire engagement ring was noticeably absent from her hand.
Kate, 43, visited the gallery to launch The Bobeam Tree Trail, the first initiative based on the new Shaping Us Framework published on Sunday.
The Princess arrived with schoolchildren by minibus for the engagement, sporting a previously unseen £1,200 blazer by Bulgarian designer Petar Petrov.

In place of her familiar sapphire ring, the Princess wore an eternity band, marking another recent change to her usual jewellery choices.
The Princess of Wales also did not wear her engagement ring at the beginning of this year during a trip to the Royal Marsden Hospital.
However, last week in Wales, Princess Kate was wearing her usual engagement ring, which previously belonged to Princess Diana.
The choice to occasionally wear an eternity band during some outings, but her engagement ring during others has sparked a frenzy among royal jewellery experts and fans.

Phil Grosso from Amore Fine Jewellery suggested there may be a deeper meaning behind the Princess's choice of ring.
"Eternity rings have long been a symbol of unending love, commitment, and connection," he told Pure Wow.
According to Grosso: "Given Kate's affinity for personal pieces, this ring may represent resilience and strength, especially after her health journey."
Lauren Kiehna from The Court Jeweller offers a practical explanation, noting that previous photographs showed the sapphire ring "turning on her finger, suggesting that it might be too big to comfortably wear at the moment."
