Analysis: GB News' Deputy Royal Editor takes a look at the best regal outfits from January 2025

Royal fashion watchers were spoiled in the month of January with unbelievable outfits worn by the Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Edinburgh and Zara Tindall.

Princess Kate, 43, wowed royal fans with three outings in January - after almost a year of recuperating following her course of preventative chemotherapy.

Her first outing at the Royal Marsden Hospital on January 14 was extremely poignant as it coincided with the announcement that she is now in remission.

For this outing, Kate donned a burgundy outfit, consisting of a £595 skirt from Edeline Lee and a bespoke tailored version of her Blaze Milano checked blazer.

She also wore her "eternity" ring, rumoured to be a gift from Prince William. This subtle reminder that her husband has consistently supported the Princess for the past year did not go unnoticed.

A few days prior, the Prince of Wales had posted a touching tribute on social media calling Kate "the most incredible wife and mother" on her 43rd birthday.

William added: "The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W".

For her second outing, Princess Kate attended events in London to mark Holocaust Memorial Day alongside Prince William.

The mother-of-three donned a Catherine Walker coat and a Chanel bag. She also wore a pearl necklace from the Jewish-owned brand, Susan Caplan, a touching tribute to the victims and survivors of the Holocaust.

Last week, Kate stepped out in Wales for her final engagement in January. The royal visited the Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice in the Vale of Glamorgan, followed by a textiles business called Corgi.

The Princess wore her signature £89.99 Zara dress, a piece that has become a staple in her royal wardrobe since its first appearance in Bradford in 2020.

She also paid a special tribute to Wales with her earrings - £89 jewels from the Welsh brand Spells of Love.

Another royal who wowed fans with her sartorial choices this month was the Duchess of Edinburgh. Sophie turned 60 on January 20, and Buckingham Palace released new photographs of the royal to mark the occasion.

Her official birthday portraits were taken by photographer Christina Ebenezer at Bagshot Park, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's home.

One such picture showed Sophie looking fun and carefree, wearing at least £1,320 worth of jewellery.

The message was clear - that Sophie, who has a 21-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son, is living life on her own terms.

Since marrying into the Royal Family in 1999, the Duchess of Edinburgh has experienced many highs and lows.

But after all the personal growth, it is clear that Sophie is now embracing her full potential and enjoying the journey.

Royal fans were treated to a tour by Princess Anne this month, who travelled to South Africa on January 21. Her engagements included a ceremony recognising the overlooked efforts of black South Africans who died during World War One, working as labourers rather than combatants.

The Princess Royal, 74, wore her iconic Adidas Team GB sunglasses with almost every outfit during the tour.

Princess Anne has always represented sustainable fashion and recycling outfits and accessories.

The mother-of-two seemed happy to travel across the globe representing her older brother, King Charles, as long as it was in her own way.

Meanwhile, her daughter, Zara Tindall, spent the beginning of January in Australia with her beloved husband, Mike Tindall.

After returning to the UK, Zara, 43, made a stylish trip to Cheltenham on January 25.

The King's niece wrapped up warm in a £659 LK Bennett coat featuring a Prince of Wales checked print, perhaps a subtle nod to Prince William's current title.

Zara is one of the most stylish royals. The mother-of-three likely benefits from not being a working royal, as is not obliged to follow stern royal fashion protocols.

Every time Zara steps out, royal fans are reminded of her carefree and fun attitude, especially when she attends equestrian events that she so clearly loves.

January was a month full of surprises for the royals, as no one expected the Princess of Wales to step out three times. The amazing outfits worn by each member of the Royal Family last month seem like they are only a small hint of what is to come in 2025.
