Princess Kate wore an £849 coat during her latest appearance, named after her former school, Marlborough College.

The Princess of Wales, 42, joined her husband Prince William and eldest son, Prince George, to attend church at Crathie Kirk on the Balmoral Estate on Sunday.

Kate could be seen wearing her "Full Length Marlborough Trench Coat" from Holland Cooper, which she also wore to attend a church service in 2023.

The coat retails for a whopping £849 and is described as "a wardrobe staple and a lifetime investment".

The Princess of Wales attended Marlborough College between 1996 and 2000.

When Kate joined the college, she is said to have had “little confidence”, according to the 2011 documentary Kate Middleton: Biography.

Earlier this year, the Prince and Princess of Wales were thought to be considering Marlborough College for their eldest child after the mother and son duo were seen on a private visit.

George, 11, is currently at Lambrook School in Berkshire, and will be attending a new school once he turns 13.

Many commentators have assumed that George will follow in the footsteps of Prince William and Prince Harry by attending Eton College.

However, Kate would reportedly prefer Prince George to attend Marlborough College as it will have a more "diverse crowd".

Over the weekend, the Princess of Wales paired her coat with a £109 hat from Hicks & Brown, described by the company as "one of our all time best-selling hats".

This was Kate's first appearance since her outing at the Men's Singles Final at Wimbledon last month.

In March, the mother-of-three announced she was beginning a course of preventative chemotherapy and would step back from public life.

She has since only stepped out at two engagements in 2024 - Trooping the Colour and the Wimbledon final.

It is not yet known if Kate will return to a full programme of royal duties come September.

In July, she stressed she was "not out of the woods yet" and would be continuing chemotherapy for a few more months.
