Kate's positive impact laid bare as Princess of Wales helps raise thousands of pounds

She marked Baby Loss Awareness Week with a powerful message on her social media account which she shares with her husband, Prince William.

Kate wrote: "Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss.

"Sending love, strength and hope to anyone affected. #WaveofLight".

Alongside the statement, Kate posted a photograph of a "Wave of Light" candle, designed by the brand, Plum & Ashby.

Plum & Ashby partnered with Tommy's, the UK’s largest pregnancy research charity, in 2020.

Following Kate's statement, Plum & Ashby has announced: "With a little help from the Princess of Wales herself, Plum & Ashby have now raised over £213k for Tommy's following this year's Wave of Light.

"That's £213k that will help fund ground-breaking research that saves babies' lives, support for families throughout pregnancy, and campaigns for improved maternity care."
