A blazer worn by the Princess of Wales during her visit to the National Portrait Gallery this week sold out within hours, despite her recent move to shift attention away from her fashion choices.
The £1,163 Petar Petrov 'The Founder' jacket in chocolate brown was snapped up by royal fashion followers eager to recreate Kate's look.
The designer has since told the Mail they experienced such high demand that they have had to restock the item in selected sizes.
The rapid sell-out demonstrates the continuing power of the 'Kate effect', where items worn by the Princess typically experience a surge in sales.

This comes as Kensington Palace recently decided it would no longer release details about the princess's outfits at public events.
"There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing," a Palace source told The Sunday Times.
The new policy follows Kate's wish to ensure focus remains on "the issues, people and the causes she is spotlighting" rather than her clothing choices.
While the Palace may still share outfit details for major occasions, they have already stopped providing fashion information for recent engagements, including Kate's visits to South Wales.

The Princess wore the blazer over a black high-necked wool jumper, paired with £220 pinstripe Jigsaw trousers during her visit with pupils from All Souls CE Primary School.
The item was a new purchase from Petar Petrov's Fall Winter 2024 collection.
Kate completed her look with Sézane Bruna Earrings and a Halcyon Days Salamander Torque Forget-Me-Not & Gold Bangle, believed to be a gift from Prince William.
The Princess's long-time personal assistant Natasha Archer works with her to select outfits for public occasions.

Royal fans took to social media to express their enthusiasm for Kate's continued fashion influence.
"The Kate effect just gets stronger with time!" wrote one supporter.
Another noted it had taken less than "two hours" for the blazer to sell out completely.
The continued public fascination with the Princess's wardrobe choices comes despite her recent cancer diagnosis giving her what sources say is a "new perspective."

A close friend of Kate revealed it was "enormously difficult" for the royal when she first began her duties to have her clothing overshadow her work.
The Princess's friend told The Sunday Times that Kate understood she would need to wear "a uniform" for formal occasions like film premieres or Trooping the Colour.
However, they added: "[She] was going out and doing the work she was interested in and was hugely important to her, and people just talked about what she was wearing."
