The Princess of Wales has never commented on Harry and Meghan's attacks
Princess Kate is "afraid" of her uncle's upcoming memoir, especially as he has "already finished the first draft", an insider claims.
In their Netflix documentary, Harry's autobiography Spare, and their Oprah Winfrey interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made several remarks about William and Kate.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly requested that Goldsmith tone down his memoir to avoid escalating tensions with Harry and Meghan.
An insider close to the Middletons explained how Carole, the mother of the Princess of Wales, had contacted her brother to ensure that no personal family information was included in his book.
This was because there were worries that the Duke of Sussex might write another autobiography that would be even more explosive.
Prince Harry himself previously revealed that he had enough material to write a second book.
The source said: “There are disclosures they would never forgive him for if they were ever to be made public.
“William and Kate are trying to avoid that at all costs.
"They don’t want a book to fan the flames which could set Harry off again.”
The source also told OK!: “Carole has made it very clear that there should be no private family business written about.
"Kate is afraid that it could provoke Harry into writing another book.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
“Gary has already finished the first draft and a number of publishers have shown interest, but he knows it won’t get as much pickup if it’s only about him.”
Goldsmith previously lashed out at the Sussexes over their remarks about Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress from their 2018 wedding.
He said: “This made me see red. How dare Harry share such a confidence involving a young child?”
