Under US law, admission of, or evidence of past drug use, can be grounds to reject a visa application

The Biden Administration has been accused of “not caring” about whether Prince Harry lied on his American visa.

His reference to taking cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in his memoir Spare prompted many to question why he was allowed into the US in 2020.

Under US law, admission of, or evidence of past drug use, can be grounds to reject a visa application.

It led to The Heritage Foundation bringing a lawsuit against the Department for Homeland Security (DHS) after a Freedom of Information Act request was rejected.

Speaking on GB News, Lee Cohen said efforts to have Harry’s visa application made public are not likely to gain much “traction” with Biden in power.

“Joe Biden himself has praised the Duke and Duchess for their courage and standing up for things that most of us shake our heads in disgust at”, he told Nana Akua.

She waded in on the discussion to blast the US President, saying she “can’t take him seriously”.

The DHS said that despite Harry being a “public official” in the UK, he is “not a public official in the United States”.

In the controversial memoir, the Duke opened up on his drug habits where he admitted cocaine “didn’t do anything for me”, while “marijuana is different, that actually really did help me”.

The Heritage Foundation’s lawsuit argues that US law “generally renders such a person inadmissible for entry” to the country.

The DHS responded: “Much like health, financial, or employment information, a person’s immigration information is private personal information.

“If the court accepts Plaintiffs’ arguments, the Government would need to reveal confidential immigration information about Prince Harry, a result the court should not adopt.”

The discussion then shifted onto other Harry and Meghan matters, with the couple spotted in Jamaica ahead of a film premiere.

Cohen said the couple are looking at new ways to “make money”, adding it was the primary driver behind their decision to attend the event.

“The really tragic thing is Harry was willing to shake hands with the prime minister of Jamaica”, he said.

“He is determined to make Jamaica a republic. William and Kate got a poor reception last year but Harry doesn’t care.

“Once again, it comes down to disloyalty. I see that as disloyalty to the country, disloyalty to his family and disloyalty to the institution of monarchy.”
