Prince Harry has received a deeply meaningful gift at the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver, where he was presented with a bracelet bearing the inscription "Whoever saves one life saves the world".

The Duke of Sussex was given the special bracelet by Olga Rudnieva, CEO of Superhumans, a Ukrainian rehabilitation centre for adults and children.

The presentation took place during a semi-final sitting volleyball match between Team UK and Team Nigeria, where Rudnieva sat beside Prince Harry.

The gift was intended to thank the duke for his life-changing work with the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014 to support veterans from around the world following the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

Rudnieva said: "We had a very good conversation with him because we need to learn a lot from other countries."

She explained that the bracelet was presented alongside a T-shirt to acknowledge Prince Harry's support for Ukraine during the Games.

Rudnieva added: "We wanted him to know that it's important for Ukraine to know that he's supporting us."

Ksenia Ilenkiv, fundraising manager for Superhumans, highlighted a particularly touching moment when the duke wrapped the Ukrainian flag around one of their patients during a medal ceremony in Whistler.

Ilenkiv said: "It went viral in Ukraine because UK support is so important for Ukraine."

She continued to tell Hello!: "Many people will need a lot of adaptations after the war, including a sense of life, and that's what the Invictus Games does."

Superhumans, established in 2023, provides face and limb reconstruction, prosthetic rehabilitation, psychological support, and social reintegration services to Ukrainian patients.

The centre has eight athletes competing at the 2025 Invictus Games and aims to serve 3,000 people annually through comprehensive rehabilitation.

Notable supporters include Sting and Bear Grylls as ambassadors, while Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska serves on the board.

The interaction comes just days after Meghan Markle's planned exit from the event.

The Duchess of Sussex returned to Montecito on Tuesday to reunite with their children, Archie and Lilibet.

The mother-of-two stayed at the Invictus Games for five days, sharing a behind-the-scenes view on her Instagram account.
