'Sussex is NOT their surname!' Harry and Meghan will 'cause annoyance at Buckingham Palace'

Harry and Meghan are prominent on the website's homepage alongside their royal crest and titles. Featured on the website are biography pages for the Duke and Duchess.

The Duke is lauded as a "New York Times Bestselling author" for his memoir Spare, praising his "compassion, vulnerability, and unflinching honesty".

Meghan's bio calls her a "champion of human rights and gender equity" and briefly mentions her past Hollywood career.

Reacting to the site's rebranding, former royal correspondent Michael Cole claims the decision to have their regal titles on the website is "illegal".

Cole added that the use of a royal title or royal residence in order to sell a product is "illegal" and is "not allowed" for commercial purposes.

He explained to GBN America: "When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex scooted off first to Canada and then to California, which was probably always her intended destination, it was made clear to them that although they would retain the honorific titles Her Royal Highness and His Royal Highness, Their Royal Highnesses, they were not allowed to use those letters."

Cole stated that the couple are "cocking a snook" at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Family by displaying their coat of arms in this manner.

He continued: "In fact it's not correct to say that Sussex is their surname. Sussex is two rather lovely counties in this country, West Sussex and East Sussex. But Prince Harry's birth name was Mountbatten Windsor.

"That's the family name of the Royal Family of this country. It's the House of Windsor, but the actual name the children are born into is Mountbatten Windsor."

When asked how the Royal Family and King Charles may react to the rebranding, Cole speculated they may be watching the couple "closely" as the move "undermines" the role of the monarchy.

Cole told GBN America host Nana Akua: "This is going to cause some annoyance at Buckingham Palace.

"Whether they will formally reprimand them, ask them to cease using it, cease and desist remains to be seen, but it is not a good look and it will not endear them to anybody within the Royal Family in this country.

"They'll be watching things very closely and if there is any transgression, they will certainly be taking sanctions."
