Wolfie celebrated his birthday on Friday, with his mother, Dara Huang, marking the occasion

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has returned to Instagram for the first time since his son Wolfie's ninth birthday, but chose not to publicly acknowledge the milestone.

The 41-year-old property developer instead shared several images of a house from his company, Banda Property, which responded with three brown emojis beneath the post.

Wolfie celebrated his birthday on Friday, with his mother, Dara Huang, marking the occasion with a series of heartfelt photos and messages on social media.

The father-of-three, who shares Wolfie with his ex-fiancée Huang, has been notably focused on his younger children in recent months.

Edoardo and his wife, Princess Beatrice, welcomed their second child together, daughter Athena, just two months ago, joining their three-year-old daughter Sienna.

In contrast, Wolfie's mother, Huang, shared an affectionate tribute to her son on Instagram, posting several never-before-seen photos alongside a loving message.

"Happy Birthday to the light of my life. Every day is made brighter because you are in it," the American architect wrote.

The black and white images showed Huang lifting Wolfie up, whilst others captured the pair in fancy dress, including Little Red Riding Hood-themed costumes with Wolfie as the wolf.

Huang added in the comments: "It all happens so fast. Before you know it, he won't want mom everywhere with him anymore.... I am going to keep clinging on for as long as I am still 'cool'. Had the best day with him today."

The mother-son duo appeared to enjoy a special celebration together on Wolfie's birthday.

Huang and Edoardo split in 2018 after welcoming Wolfie in 2016, with Edoardo later marrying Princess Beatrice in 2020 during an intimate Windsor ceremony.

The royal has embraced her role as stepmother, affectionately referring to Wolfie as her "bonus son" and including him in family events.

Wolfie has increasingly joined the Royal Family at official engagements, including the Princess of Wales's Christmas carol concerts and the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee pageant in 2022.

Huang previously told Harper's Bazaar: "Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, 'The more, the merrier'."

The parents have maintained an amicable relationship since their split, with Huang saying after Edoardo's engagement to Beatrice: "I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families."

The Mapelli Mozzi family has been particularly focused on their newest addition in recent months, with Princess Beatrice and Edoardo welcoming baby Athena Elizabeth Rose in January.

The infant arrived several weeks premature, weighing just four pounds and five ounces. Beatrice recently opened up about the experience in a candid essay for British Vogue, describing the "overwhelming fear" and "weeks of worry" before Athena's birth.

"Nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early," she wrote.

The royal has since become patron of Borne Charity, which funds research into premature births.

Edoardo praised his wife on Instagram following the essay's publication, writing: "So much pride for my beautiful wife, who has bravely shared our story of Athena's early arrival." The couple confirmed their daughter is now "doing well" despite her challenging start.
