King Charles and Princess Kate have been faced with health concerns this year

Former US President Donald Trump has expressed his well wishes for the Royal Family amid health concerns for King Charles and Princess Kate.

Speaking to GB News, Trump sat down with Nigel Farage for an exclusive chat about the Royal Family, his plans for The White House and his stance on Prince Harry's residency in the US.

Trump told GB News that he "hopes the King is going to be okay", as the British monarch continues his cancer treatment in the UK.

Discussing his relationship with Charles, the former Potus (President of the United States) said they "got along" with each other, but they have "different views" on environmental issues.

Trump commented: "I think he's a really wonderful guy. We got along, he was a little bit more into environmental restriction than I am.

"I'm an environmentalist, I feel in a true sense. But I'm a different kind of environmentalist."

Wishing the King well in his cancer treatment and recovery, Trump said: "I got to know him very well. I like him, and I hope he's going to be okay."

Nigel also mentioned Princess Kate, who is recovering at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor following her abdominal surgery in January.

Reacting to the Princess's recent photo controversy, which saw her make a statement on an edited image released on Mother's Day, Trump said the fallout surrounding the image "shouldn't be a big deal".

When asked by Nigel if Trump believes the Princess is in a "tough position" at the moment, the former US leader said "everyone doctors images".

He explained: "Everybody doctors, you look at these movie actors, and you see a movie actor and you meet them and you say, is that the same person in the picture?"

Trump added that he believes the photoshopped image is only a "minor" doctoring of the photo.

Nigel Farage agreed, and said she "will be back" once she is recovered from surgery after Easter.

Trump expressed his concern for the princess and said she is going through a "rough period" and so is the Royal Family, especially after the photo controversy.

Turning the conversation to Prince Harry, Trump said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were "very disrespectful to the late Queen and the Royal Family" since moving to America.

Trump suggested that he would take "appropriate action" against the Prince if he is found to have lied on his visa application.

When pressed by Farage for more details, Trump said: "We'll have to see if they know something about the drugs and if he lied."
