Charles Spencer has said he is "deeply proud" of his partner in a supportive statement shared to his social media.

Princess Diana's brother, 60, confirmed his relationship with podcast co-host Cat Jarman in October last year.

During an ITV interview, Charles said: "Cat Jarman, who is my partner now actually, she's a brilliant archaeologist."

It follows the earl's divorce from his third wife, Karen Spencer, which was first announced in June 2024.

In the earl's latest social media statement, Charles wrote: "I'm deeply proud of, and impressed by, my partner @CatJarman for her support of the MS Society.

"She is an example of how successful and fulfilled people with this condition can be, and I know her support of this charity will be hugely beneficial to so many.

"Cat is a passionate advocate of good causes, and this is just one more example of her selflessness, and her determination to assist others."

Earl Spencer and Professor Jarman met in 2021 when Cat led a search for the remains of an ancient Roman villa on the grounds of Althorp estate, where Charles resides.

Jarman, a Viking archaeologist, was filming a Channel 4 documentary.

The pair became co-hosts of a history podcast along with Rev Richard Coles called The Rabbit Hole Detectives.

The trio have also written a trivia book to accompany the podcast.

Karen Spencer, the earl's estranged wife, released a statement in February 2025 giving an update on her personal life nearly a year after her split from the late Diana's brother.

The 52-year-old announced she had found a new temporary home after she had moved out of Althorp House, where she had lived since she married Charles Spencer in 2011.

She wrote: "Well…at long last, three weeks ago, we finally moved into our temporary new home."

The pair, who were married for 13 years, share a daughter named Lady Charlotte Diana Spencer, who is 12 years old.
