Carole Middleton is set to step into the royal spotlight following Princess Kate's potential move, a royal commentator has claimed.
Mother's Day is fast approaching, and the Princess of Wales is set to put last year's controversy behind her.
Princess Kate, 43, was widely criticised for editing the 2024 photograph, taken by Prince William, which showed the future Queen beside her three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
Six major picture agencies sent out a "kill notice" after the Princess of Wales admitted to editing the photograph.

It is not yet clear whether Prince William and Princess Kate will issue a new photograph in 2025 to mark the special occasion.
However, royal commentator Jennie Bond believes that the Princess of Wales could honour her own mother, Carole Middleton.
Carole, 70, and her husband Michael Middleton, 75, provided Kate with significant support during her illness.
The close bond between Kate and her parents was evident in her cancer recovery video last summer.

Bond noted that Kate will likely want to thank her own mother for her support during the past year.
"Whether Carole and Mike will decide to spend the day with the Waleses or their other children we don't of course know," she told the Mirror.
The couple's two younger children, Pippa, 41, and James, 37, have their own families with their spouses.
